Borges Group Vall justified high rankings

In Europe Cup Men the competition started with few upsets and lot of fierce battles.

 

In Spain, in Group A, five clubs fought for top two positions which leads to the Third Group Stage. Hosts Universidad De Burgos, Fortune Kyiv from Ukraine and CSS-SZAK Odorheiu Secuiesc from Romania all recorded three wins and one defeat, but Burgos failed to book neither of two hot spots. CSS-SZAK Odorheiu Secuiesc with Szilara GYÖRGY, Krisztian CSERVIK, Sebastian LOSO and Istivan GYÖRGY had better game ratio and also overcame Fortune Kyiv’s Dmkytro PYSAR, Bohdan SYNKEVYCH and Viktor YEFIMOV.

I Group B, Sokah Hoboken beat Libertas Marinkolor to preserve unbeaten status and secure top place in the group. Tim from Croatia finished second.

In Group C in Hungary, host PTE PEAC Kalo-Meh booked first position with all three victories. Zsolt PETÖ, Gabor GEROLD, Adam LINDNER and Lehel DEMETER successfully concluded their matches against CTT Tiege from Belgium, AD Vincios from Spain and biggest threat to leading position, TTC Neuhausen from Switzerland, in the opening round. Swiss Mauro SCHÄRRER, Pekka PELZ and Elias HARDMEIER also proceeded to the next round from the second position.

 

In Group D in Belgium, Borges Group Vall from Spain justified their high rankings. Joan MASIP, Marc DURAN and Albert VILARDELL secured all three wins. Against hosts TT Vedrinamur, they played last match for the top position and in full five matches duel they succeeded against Nikolas DEGROS, Louis LAFFINEUR and Tim GILTIA. ADC Ponta do Pargo – Calheta from Portugal is third and DT Echternach from Luxembourg is fourth.
