In Italy Giorgia PICCOLIN won three titles

The Italian Championships were organized for the first time in the best way in Table Tennis Center "Maso della Pieve" of the city of Bolzano. In Men's Singles Leonardo MUTTI, 23 years old, after the final match of last year, won the tournament for the second time (the first was in 2015). In the deciding challenge he beat in four straight games his younger brother Matteo MUTTI, 18 years old, who played the first final (in 2018 he was semifinalist). Mihai BOBOCICA, the six times champion, and Daniele PINTO, at his debut on the national podium, won the bronze medal.

 

In Women's Singles Giorgia PICCOLIN became champion for the second time in her career, confirming the win of 2018. She defeated in six games Le Thi Hong LOAN. Veronica MOSCONI and Tan Wenling MONFARDINI were placed third.

 

In Men's Doubles Mihai BOBOCICA and Niagol STOYANOV doubled the title which occurred in 2013. They accounted for Daniele PINTO and Antonino AMATO in three games, while Paolo BISI and Marco RECH DALDOSSO and Leonardo and Matteo MUTTI shared the third step of the podium.

 

In Women's Doubles Debora VIVARELLI and Giorgia PICCOLIN overcame in three games Veronica MOSCONI and Giulia CAVALLI. The couple mother-daughter, formed by Tan Wenling and Gaia MONFARDINI and Chiara COLANTONI and Le Thi Hong LOAN settled for third place.

 

In Mixed Doubles the new champions are Niagol STOYANOV and Giorgia PICCOLIN, who got better of Paolo BISI and Debora VIVARELLI in three games. Bronze medalists were Leonardo MUTTI and Veronica MOSCONI and Antonino AMATO anche Nicole ARLIA, only 13 years old.

 

It was a triumphal edition for Giorgia Piccolin, who won three titles in her birth city of Bolzano.
