RENNER: LZ LINZ is a tool to improve next generation

ECLW Round 3 to be held this Saturday, October 27th, as newcomer from Austria hosts SKST Mart Hodonin-Stavoimpex

 

European Champions League Women’s Round 3 will see LZ LINZ Froschberg’s promotion on its soil against Czech Republic’s SKST Mart Hodonin-Stavoimpex this Saturday. All four R3 games are scheduled for that day, October 27th.

 

President of LZ LINZ Günther RENNER explains what is the intention having two teams in ECLW:

 

"If Hodonin plays with the same line up like Monday, we will have a chance again them. LZ LINZ as a separated club is the second-high performance club from LINZ which was founded for giving European and Austrian players more seats in the European club events. That Club (already ETTU CUP semifinalist) is a tool to help the next generation of top players to rise to the European elite."

 

LZ LINZ lost its very first ECLW game in Poland, against no. 2 seed Tarnobrzeg 3:1. USA player WU Yue showed two high-class performances against two strong European players, beating Elizabeta SAMARA and losing to HAN Ying after five games.

 

"I was very happy with my performance against the strong team from Tarnobrzeg and the win against Samara, but if I would have won against HAN Ying after two match points, my team would have had a chance to win, this time I will try to make it even better", stated WU Yue.

 

The 20-year-old HO Tin-Tin explains why this game motivates her so much:

"I`m still quite new to this league, but I`m ready for the game in LINZ, I like to have pressure on my shoulders and I`m positive that we will have again a good team spirit and that we show the level of the new generation against the former LINZ players VACENOVSKA, but who knows what will be the line-up..."

 

Margarita BALTUSHITE, 18-year-old Belarus talent, has aded:

"I lost 0:3 against HAN Ying, but played ok, I always fight to get a chance in every game I play, so doesn’t matter who I will fight against, I will do the best possible job".
