Bronze for Andreea DRAGOMAN in Buenos Aires

2018 Youth Olympic Games

At the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games, Andreea DRAGOMAN clinched bronze medal. The no.13 seed, Romania’s player recovered from an opening game deficit against India’s Archana Girish Kamath, to secure the Women’s Singles bronze medal (8-11, 13-11, 11-9, 11-, 11-9).

“I’m very happy about my performance, and I have no words to describe how I feel right now! It was a tough match, she was a good player, we were playing almost the same game in the match, I told myself it’s not over, and tried to look for her weakness and used it to my advantage and improve my game,” said DRAGOMAN.

Bronze for Andreea Dragoman, the first ever medal in the table tennis events at a Youth Olympic Games for Romania and only the second for Europe; Frenchman Simon GAUZY secured the same colour in the Men’s Singles in 2010 in Singapore.
