Europe Youth Top 10 in Worcester

At the Europe Youth Top 10 in Worcester Samuel KULCZYCKI of Poland clinched the title in the Cadet Boys Singles Event. After three days of fierce battles, young Polish player beat 8 adversaries and left the court defeated only once – in the match against Dorian ZHENG of France. Bilal HAMACHE of France concluded the competition at the position no. two, whilst ZHENG is third.

Bronze medal winner at the European Youth Championships KULCZYCKI, is a two times cadets and two times junior champion in Poland, and clinched few medals at the international level in Metz, Hodonin and Vladislavovo.

“It was very good tournament for me. I am happy with my performance. I had a few very difficult matches; such is the last one against Kay STUMPER of Germany. I already beat him in Metz few years ago, but still, it was hard to beat him here. Jules CAVAILLE of France was also tough adversary” explained Samuel.

Only player who accounted for KULCZYCKI was Dorian.

“He beat me in straight games. It was very heavy defeat, but I did not lose my spirit. I fought until the end,” said Samuel.

Samuel is playing in ASTS Olimpia Unia Grudziadz.

“My grandfather and my father, my brother…all play table tennis. My father Szymon is my coach as well. He played in the second Bundesliga,” said KULCZYCKI.
