JORGIC and PAVCNIK secured the medal in Mixed Doubles

European Youth Championships

Thomas GRININGER and Karoline MISCHEK of Austria beat top seeds in Junior Mixed Doubles Event, Romania’s Cristian PLETEA and Adina DIACONU, to secure the medal at the European Youth Championships in Zagreb.

 

In the semis they will meet Tomas POLANSKY of Czech Republic and Tin Tin Ho of England. In the quarters this combination beat Maxim CHAPLYGIN and Maria MALANAINA of Russia.

 

Slovenia also secured the medal. Darko JORGIC and Tamara PAVCNIK beat Jiri MARTINKO and Nikita PETROVOVA of Czech Republic. JORGIC and PAVNIK will meet Aliaksandr KHANIN and Daria TRIGOLOS of Belarus. Belarus pairings beat Tomas KOTOWSKI and Julia SLAZAK of Poland.

 

In Cadet Mixed Doubles Azerbaijan’s YANG Xinyu and ZHOU Chuyi halted top seeds Vladimir SIDORENKO and Anastasia KOLISH on their way to the medal rostrum. Winners will meet Vincent PICARD and Prithika PAVADE of France in semis. Previously French pairings beat Maksim GREBENEV and Ekaterina ZIRONOVA of Russia.

 

In second semi final Maciej KOLODZIEJCZYK of Austria and Tania PLAIAN of Romania will meet Lev KATSMAN and Kristina KAZANTSEVA Russia. KOLODZIEJCZYK and PLAIAN beat Carlo ROSSI of Italy and Zdena BLASKOVA of Czecg Republic, whilst Russia’s pairings prevailed against Bilal TOK and Aybala KOCAL of Turkey.
