Weinviertel Niederosterreich and SV Werder Bremen progressed to the semi final of the Men's ETTU Cup. Austrian club came back after defeats in the opening leg.
This time complete, Weinviertel Niederosterreich showed no mercy in the match against Sweden's Halmstads. In the opening leg, the Austria's club was forced to play with only two players due Daniel HABESOHN's eye surgery; in the return leg with top three players on duty there were no space for surprises. Austria's club progressed to the semi final.
Despite victory Stella Sport La Romagne lost their place in the semi final. Against SV Werder Bremen they played another five matches thriller, but unlike the opening leg, this time they succeeded. French club recovered from the 2:1 in reverse. Bastian STEGER suffered by the hands of Brice OLLIVIER at the opening match, before Kirill SKACHKOV beat Tianyuan CHEN. Constantin CIOTI beat Adrian CRISAN but Tianyuan CHEN this time beat Bastian STEGER. In the decisive match Brice OLLIVIER stood the pressure and overcame SKACHKOV.
On Sunday Sten Ostrov Havlickuv Brod will meet Istres Tennis de Table, whilst on Monday Vaillante Sports Angers TT will play against DKV Borges Vall.
