SV Werder Bremen beat Stella Sport La Romagne by narrow margin

 

Opening leg of the Men's ETTU Cup brought great suspense. We can only look forward good games in two weeks.

Thanks the brave effort of Kirill SKACHKOV in the decisive game of the decisive match in France, SV Werder Bremen is the only guest club in the opening leg of the quarterfinal to secure the victory. Kirill SKACHKOV lost against CHEN Tian Yuan at the opening, and CHEN proved too strong for Bastian STEGER. STEGER suffered by the hands of CRISAN, but Constantin CIOTI recorded victory against Brice OLLIVIER.

Istres TT succeeded against Sten Ostrov Havlickuv Brod in four matches. Omar ASSAR beat both Petr KORBEL and Pavel SIRUCEK in thrilling long distance duels. Benjamin BROSSIER secured third point for the hosts.

Halmstads BTK delighted home crowd with the victory over Weinviertel Niederösterreich, the club with the member of the European Championships winning team. Stefan FEGERL proved too strong for Fabian ÅKERSTRÖM and Mattias KARLSSON but Dominik HABESOHN failed to secure at least one point against same adversaries. In the third duel Harald ANDERSSON received walk over. Austria's club played without third player, Daniel HABESOHN, who had second laser eye surgery.

DKV Borges Vall failed to take advantage of home soil. After five thrilling matches they suffered defeat against  Vaillante Sports Angers TT.
