Last increase: 4 600 players

World Veterans Championships

 

The organizational meeting between members of the SCI World Veterans Championships Committee, Mr. Hans WESTLING and Mr. Michael THEISS and representatives of the Organizing Committee was held last week in Alicante. As a result of the meeting, after studying the current situation of entries for the 2016 edition, the current waiting list, the capacity of the hall and the possible schedule it was decided to submit to the SCI Executive Committee the proposal of a last increase on the maximum number of players that can participate at this event.

 

“On Friday, Ebby and Dianne SCHOLER informed the Organising Committee about the support of the Executitve Committee to the proposal developed during the meeting and the acceptance of the increase to 4600 the maximum number of participants” said Jordi SERRA, CEO WVC 2016.

 

As immediate result, all the players on the waiting list have now the chance to enter the Championships and near 100 places are still available.

 

The impact of this big number require also a big number of volunteers helping in different crucial areas: sport, accreditation, press, logistics, information, ticketing, protocol, technology and sports area. People interested can register on-line here:
