Dennis KLEIN superbly adjust to new role of the leader

Darko JORGIC is second and Bence MAJAROS of Hungary is third

 

Surprise winner of the Junior Boys Singles Event at he 2015 ROMSTAL European Youth Top 10 is Dennis KLEIN of Germany. The highest two players on duty in the Junior Singles Event, Alexandre CASSIN and Can AKKUZU of France, were forced to withdrew on third and second day of the competition respectively, so the player with the highest ranks, Dennis KLEIN superbly adjust to new role of the leader. Unbeaten on the opening day he concluded the competition with only one defeat; he suffered by the hands of Konstantin CHERNOV of Russia.

Darko JORGIC is second and Bence MAJAROS of Hungary is third.

 

“I was little bit afraid against my matches against CASSIN, AKUZZU and JORGIC before I came. Against others, I knew I can win in open game. That is why I am in a way sorry that both French players were not fully fit for this competition,” said KLEIN.

 

The Russia’s CHERNOV was the only player to score against German.

 

“I had 2:1 lead, before he recovered to win the games by narrow margin. I can not complain at that moment he was better player. He deserved that win.”

 

KLEIN was not happy with the beginning of the year.

 

“ I did not start well. In two or three opening tournaments I lost in first round. Spanish Open was the turning point. I won that tournament and luck changed for better. It gave me confidence, so I played at higher level in Poland before European Championships. In Bratislava I lost only two matches and reached the quarterfinal of the singles event at the European Youth.”

 

Dennis KLEIN who play for 1. FC Saarbrücken TT moved from Ochsenhausen.

 

“I spent 6 years with my previous club, and I think that change was very important for me. I stared to play better.”

 

KLEIN is also at he list of the players who will be in France at the World Championships.

 

“I hope to reach Round 32 or 16. That will be really nice.”
