President of Austrian club Gunther RENNER is aware how tough clash will be held in Poland, against Zamek Tarnobrzeg, this Friday (17:00 CET)

In the next two weeks it will be clear who are the ECLW quarter-finalists, as the group stage will be ended by the last two rounds. The two times ECLW champion and actual runner-up, Linz AG Froschberg is going to play two games, against current ETTU Cup winner Zamek Tarnobrzeg in Poland (December 4th, 17:00 CET) and with Lille Metropole at home (December 18th), determined to win at least one, to secure its place for the next stage.

„Champions League against Tarnobrzeg is a hard job for Linz AG Froschberg”, stated Linz`s President Gunther RENNER which side has 1-1 score. They were beaten at home by Zamek 3:2, without LIU Jia, but won away against Lille 3:1.

„A long driving to Poland awaits the Team from Linz before the match against Tarnobrzeg, which will take at least one full day. After the first leg which had a 4:30 duration in Linz we face the next marathon game. LIU Jia is fit again after her injury at the 2015 European Championships, so the team is ready to go for the full distance, but maybe we can finish the game this time before the fourth match, in Linz we were leading 2:0…”, commented Gunther RENNER.

President of 2009 and 2013 ECLW winner added:

„The challenge is tough, HAN Ying is always good for two points. We need full focus and coolness to win this game, to clinch the top position in the group. The goal is to win in Poland to make the last game against Lille less stressfull for us, because if we loose in Tarnobrzeg we will need to win against Lille at home, otherwise we would be in the first time in history not in the knock out phase.”
