ECLW Round 5: Zamek secures next stage

Actual ETTU Cup winner beat double ECLW champion Linz 3:2, while top seed Berlin overcame Bursa 3:0
Two more ECLW Round 5 matches were held tonight, as Zamek Tarnobrzeg and Berlin Eastside beat Linz AG Froschberg (3:2) and Bursa Buyuksehir (3:0) respectively. Polish champion secured its place in the 2015/16 quarter final, while top seed from Germany continues as unique unbeaten team after five rounds.
Concerning defeated sides, both need victory at home in the Round 6 to provide second place which guaranties quarter-final berth. Double ECLW champion Linz is going to meet Lille Metropole, while Bursa hosts Saint-Quentin (Turkish side must outstrip the victory of 3:2 and 11:8 in games).
After many successes this year, Petrissa SOLJA took over Berlin`s no. 1 position against Bursa and beat Sibel REMZI in straight games. Georgina POTA prevailed against 2015 ECH individual bronze medalist Polina MIKHAILOVA after full five sets, while Yui HAMAMOTO debuted successfully in Berlin`s line-up against Maria DOLGIKH.
Actual ETTU Cup winner and Froschberg (ECLW champion in 2009 and 2013) played again five matches and again won Polish team. Usually HAN Ying provides two points for Zamek, but this time it was LI Qian who beat Sofia POLCANOVA in the second encounter and Camelia POSTOACA in the decisive, fifth clash. Turning point could be one at 1:1, 8:8 in the latest meeting, when LI took three points in a row. LIU Jia and Sofia POLCANOVA secured points for Austrian team, as they overcame Natalia PARTYKA and HAN Ying respectively.
