Easy job for reigning TTCLM champion

Fakel Gazproma Orenburg beat away Walter Wels 3:0 in the Round 4 of Group A

 

Defending TTCLM champion Fakel Gazproma Orenburg took revenge over Walter Wels after showing its super class in Austria to win 3:0. Champions, beaten 3:1 at home three months ago, now had much easier job because Yuya OSHIMA was absent. When these two clubs met in Orenburg, Japanese defeated both European stars, Dimitrij OVTCHAROV and Vladimir SAMSONOV.

 

Tonight clash started by Vladimir SAMSONOV victory against Mihai BOBOCICA. Italian played decent in all five sets, but in the latest one Byelorussian relied on his experience to secure Orenburg`s advantage.

 

Actual individual European champion was super motivated against player who beat him in the Round 1 and result speaks for itself: Zolt PETE – Dimitrij OVTCHAROV 0:3 (3:11, 7:11, 5:11).

 

Alexey SMIRNOV concluded the match by 3:1 victory against Dominuque PLATTNER. Russian had a match ball in the third game, but host managed to extend the game by one set.

 

After four rounds, Orenburg tops Group A with 3-1 score, followed by Saarbrucken (2-2), Walter Wels (2-2) and Angers (1-3).
