Spain and Russia joined the quarterfinal elite

Women’s ETTU Cup

 

In the fourth round of the Women’s ETTU Cup, SKST Mart Hodonin, ALCL TT Grand Quevilly, CTT Balaguer Villart Logistic and Kazan emerged successfully. The teams ranked at the position number three in their respective groups in European Champions League Women, Turkey’s Bursa Büyükşehir Belediyespor, Hungarian Postas Sport Egyesulet and Szekszard Ac, French Cp Lyssois Lille Metropole will join them in the quarterfinal of the ETTU Cup.

 

In ETTU Cup, the match between CTT Balaguer Villart Logistic and AZS UMCS Optima Lublin was a real threat. The winner was decided in the fifth game of the fifth match. The backbone of host club’s success was WANG Tingting. She overcame both Nataliya ALEKSYEYENKO and Antonina SZYMANSKA in straight games. Antonina SZYMANSKA was the player who gave Polish side hope after thrilling close match against LI Yianli in five games. LIU Wenwen put the Polish club in the lead in third match, before WANG and LI sealed the duel.

 

For Russia’s Kazan at home, Portugal’s Madalena proved too weak. Onlu LI Yao managed to spice up a match. Antonina SAVELIEVA, Svetlana MOKHNACHEVA and Elza SHIBAEVA concluded the round with the straight matches victory.
