After TTCLM Round 5 it’s clear that the 2013 runner-up will enter quarter-final as no. 1 of Group D

Chartres is determined to repeat the 2012/13 TTCLM season, when it was runner-up, or even go one step more! Concerning first five rounds in the ongoing season, they are able for sure to beat everybody. One more good fact for French team is that they will enter the quarter-finals as Group D no. 1, which means that they can not met strong Russian clubs in that stage.

Bearing in mind that Bourssia has constantly problems with injuries, Chartres 3:0 away win was not surprise anybody. Timo BOLL is absent since September, while Patrick FRANZISKA was not available for last week clash.

„It was a very good game of us against a clearly weakened Borussia. For us it was a very important victory, because we secured group’s no. 1 spot.  Now we can be relaxed in some way, making plans for the quarter-finals”, stated Chartres Coach Calin TOMA speaking for Borussia website.

Borussia Coach Danny Heister, who was forced again to back his side as a player, added:

„It was difficult game, because we had to play without Patrick (FRANZISKA). We tried everything, but it was not enough”.

Two day after that loss, Borussia beat Post SV Muhlhausen 3:1 in the Round 10 of Bundesliga. In the TTCLM Round 6, on December 18th, Danny HEISTER side will fight against STEN Ostrov for quarter-finals.
