Anastasia KOLISH underlined her status at Top 10

PLAIAN finished second and ZIRONOVA is third

Anastasia KOLISH of Russia clinched the title at the Cadet Girls Singles Event at the JOOLA European Top 10 in Prague. Tania PLAIAN of Romania finished second and Ekaterina ZIRONOVA is third.

The last round duel between Anastasia KOLISH and CHEN Xingtai of Azerbaijan was the re-run of the European Championships clash in Singles Event in Round of 16.

“In Zagreb I was so sad. CHEN Xingtai halted my progress much earlier then I expected. I came there with big hopes but the team of Azerbaijan surprised us. I won gold with my team and silver in Doubles but I regret I could not go further in singles. Here I had my revenge ” said KOLISH.

At least Anastasia was ready for the challenge in Prague.

“I let her play her game in Zagreb. Here I surprised her. I changed the rhythm; I used a lot of variations and spins. She just did not know what to do to stop me. She could not see what is coming. I left no space to my adversary to beat me ” said KOLISH.

Also the duel against Tania PLAIAN of Romania was the difficult one.

“I was 3:1 in the lead but she recovered to level. I lost two games by narrowest margins. She put me under severe test. But I won it.”

On her way to the title Anastasia lost two matches. One of them was against Polish player Anna WEGRZYN.

“Last time we played against each other I won 3:1 but here she caught me on the wrong foot. Also I lost against ZHOU Chuyi of Azerbaijan. Last time I beat her in Team’s Event at the European Championships. It seams I forgot what I had to do” said Anastasia laughing.

Anastasia will be the part of the European team that will play at the World Cadet Challenge in Shanghai. Last year she won two silver medals in Team’s and Doubles Events and bronze in Singles.
