Only the top eight names at the 2015 Swedish Junior and Cadet Open part of the Safir International tournament in Örebro gain a direct entry to the main draw so most of the players are already on the duty in Sweden. At the tournament that started today the host nation’s Anton KÄLLBERG is the top seed followed by Puerto Rico’s Brian AFANADOR Russia’s Konstantin CHERNOV and Japan’s Masato KAKITSUKA. Romain RUIZ from France and Slovenia’s Darko JORGIC alongside the Japanese duo of Takuto IZUMO and Tomokazu HARIMOTO complete the top eight names.

Only Konstantin CHERNOV has won an ITTF Junior Circuit Boys’ Singles title. He succeeded last year in Italy beating Romania’s Cristian PLETEA in the final the player who has won the Boys’ Singles title at the first two ITTF Junior Circuit tournaments of the year but is not present in Örebro.

Japan’s Ayane MORITA and Rira ISHIKAWA are the respective top two seeds in the Junior Girls’ Singles event.

A total of 94 boys and 62 girls will compete in the ITTF Junior Circuit tournament.
