From Friday to Monday Round 4 of 2014/15 Women`s European Champions League will be held with some crucial games in group stage tor taking the semi-final spots.

Group A: SVNO STROCK- Fenerbahce (November 24th 19h00 CET) Szekszard – Zamek Tarnobrzeg (November21st 18h00 CET); Group B: Metz – Linz AG Froschberg (November 22nd 19h30 CET) Postas – Berlin Eastside (November 21st 16h00 CET live on Laola1.tv). For the time being Fenerbahce is unique unbeaten club after three games.

Two WECL runner-ups from last three seasons will meet in Schwechat in Group A. Young and promising SVNO STROCK`s team will try to reach its first victory in this season while Turkish champion plays to confirm its second semi-final in a row. In previous meeting at Istanbul no. 1 seed won 3:0 but all games were close. Fenerbahce showed its power playing first three rounds with five players: WEN Jia Irene IVANCAN Elisabeta SAMARA WU Yang and Yana NOSKOVA.

In other Group A clash Szekszard (1-2 score) hosts last season`s semi-finalist Zamek Tarnobrzeg (2-1). That could be decisive game for both sides. Polish team won 3:1 at home but Hungarian side has two players who know the way to European titles: LI Fen was 2013 European individual champion while Petra LOVAS lifted 2012 WECL trophy. Szekszard managed to beat STROCK 3:2 in Round 2 when LI secured two points.

Three out of four Group B clubs have 2-1 score after three rounds: actual champion Berlin 2013 winner Linz and Metz. Upcoming game in France attracts huge attention and everybody agrees that the winner will be much closer to the final:

“We are very happy to have a high professional club playing the WECL like Metz they also have a huge number of spectators which motivates our players a lot” emphasized Linz`s president Gunther RENNER. “Our French friends are looking like one of the biggest opponents for the future because the region and the city are helping them a lot and the spectators will push them hopefully also in the future. The match will be tough to win and the actual situation in the group is also for us very thrilling.”

Individual European champion from 2005 and two times WECL winner LIU Jia stressed that his side will have a hard job against Metz:

“The first match against Metz felt much closer than the result of 3:0. We know we can lose the game if we are not able to reach 100% of our possible performance. I think this game is like a matchpoint for our goal to reach the semi-final so both teams have a lot of pressure. We want to avoid a deciding game against Berlin so we have to win in France.”

Defending WECL champion Berlin plays in Hungary with a chance to be alone on the top of Group B. German side has the same score like Linz even in set ratio (2-1 8-5). However Postas will try to surprise favorites.

“Of course there is no longer a realistic chance to reach the semi-finals but we do not give up the original goal to acquire one victory. Our team will fight in every game against the team of Berlin for the success” said Postas` President Gabor ROSTAS

Berlin`s coach Irina PALINA believes that it`s still everything “open” for his team:

“Our minimum purpose next three weekend is to win two from three matches. Maximum-all. We will fight and try to reach semifinal. Our girls were playing very gut in different international competitions and reached all dream about so now they are concentrated for the ECL”.
