Teams reached semis in Almeria

The group phase of the competition at the first European Veterans Team Championships in Almeira concluded today.

In the semi final of the Men’s 40-49 will play Russia 1 vs. Royan and Stockholm S-Blommor from Sweden will meet Belgium’s Paulipo 1. Russia recorded three victories in Group A all in straight matches. In that group Belgium’s representative exceeded the rankings and booked second position despite being seeded at the bottom in the group. In Group B Stockholm S-Blommor justified their rankings but French side beat Turbo Moscow to steal their position.

In Men’s 50-59 semifinal pairs are :Russia vs. CTT Vilafranca of Spain and Russia’s Rodina vs. Silins team of Latvia. Russia was first in Group A but from the bottom of the same Group Latvia’s representative booked their semi final place. In Group B Vilafranca and Rodina confirmed their status.

In men 60-64 Spanish Sanse Coruna will meet another Spanish team CTM Fuengirola in semi final. In other match Ukraine’s Karpaty will play against Spanish Coslada.

In men 70-79 Russia 70 will play against CTM El Alamo and Russia 70-74 will meet another club from Spain Los Novatos.

In Men 65-69 Russia 2 will play against the Catmad De Barcelona whilst Estonia will meet Spanish Assoc. VET. BCN. In Group stage Barcelona lost against Russia whilst Assoc. VET. BCN. Beat Estonia.
