Seven Europeans in Round of 32 in China

There are only two European nation’s represents in the main draw of the Man’s and three in the Women’s Singles Event at the GAC Group 2014 ITTF World Tour China Open in Chengdu. Players from Germany and Austria will play in both events whilst Netherlands

There are only two European nation’s represents in the main draw of the Man’s and three in the Women’s Singles Event at the GAC Group 2014 ITTF World Tour China Open in Chengdu.

Players from Germany and Austria will play in both events whilst Netherlands will have representative in Women’s Event in the round of 32.
For the place among 16 Bastian STEGER of Germany will meet SUN Chia Hung of Taipei and Steffen MENGEL will play against Koki NIWA of Japan. Austria’s FENG Xiaoquan will play against top seeded XU XIn of China.

Amelie SOLJA of Austria will meet DOO Hoi Kem of Korea in the opening round of the main draw. WU Jiaduo of Germany the highest ranked player in the first stage of the Women’s Singles event also reached main draw. Former European champion will play against LEE Ho Ching of Hong Kong. HAN Ying of Germany will meet another Hong Kong player NG Wing Nam whilst LI Jie of Netherlands will play against WU Yang of China.
