The President of Portugal Aníbal Cavaco SILVA  had a meeting with the delegation of the Portuguese Table Tennis Federation (FPTM) last 28th March. The main purpose of the visit was to present the next European Team Championship that will be held in Lisbon from Sep 24th to 28th 2014.

In the delegation of the Portuguese Federation were FPTM President Pedro Miguel MOURA Vice-president Margarida Dias FERREIRA and President of the EC organizing committee Sérgio CASTANHEIRA.

Before the meeting Pedro Miguel MOURA gave the gift to President Cavaco SILVA a framed picture of his affiliations in the Portuguese Table Tennis Federation as Cavaco SILVA was himself a former table tennis player during his youth age.

During the meeting Presidente Cavaco SILVA said that he is “still in love the game and I followed the Olympic Games with a lot of interest”. He also promised he would try to organize his agenda in a way that would allow him “to visit Meo Arena and see some games of the European Championships”.
