Finland: OLAH and KIRICHENKO again

Benedek “Penti” OLAH in Men`s Singles Event and Anna KIRICHENKO in Women`s Singles confirmed their dominance on Finish National Championships in Helsinki. Both reached their fourth consecutive titles. They are also winners of double`s event.

In the semi-final OLAH beat his opponent from last season`s final Roope KANTOLA in straight games but in the final he was faced with super motivated Pasi VALASTI who forced him to play seven sets. VALASTI was one set up three times. The 23 year old OLAH finally turned the match in late sixth set.

In the reprise of 2013 women`s final Anna KIRICHENKO again easily beat Jannika OKSANEN in straight games. They together won doubles event in round-robin tournament. Men`s Doubles champions are Benedek Penti OLAH and Otto TENNILA.
Jannika OKSANEN and Mika RASANEN won the Mixed Doubles Event.

Men`s Doubles Semi-final: Benedek Penti OLAH/ Otto TENNILA – Mika RASANEN/Manu KARJALAINEN 3:1 (6:11 11:9 11:9 11:5) Roope KANTOLA/Samuli SOINE – Pauli HIETIKKO/Toni SOINE 3:2 (7:11  4:11  13:11 11:8  15:13). Final: Benedek Penti OLAH/ Otto TENNILA – Roope KANTOLA/Samuli SOINE 3:0 (11:7 11:8 11:9)
Women`s Singles Semi-final: Anna KIRICHENKO – Yumo LUO 4:0 (11:8 11:9 11:5 11:5) Jannika OKSANEN – Elli RISSANEN 4:1 (12:10 11:9  13:11  3:11 11:9). Final: Anna KIRICHENKO – Jannika OKSANEN 4:0 (11:5 11:4 11:5 11:8)
Women`s Doubles Anna KIRICHENKO and Jannika OKSANEN won in round-robin tournament.
