Bogoria ready for hard picking

“I’m positive that it’s going to be fascinating match which we can win” said Bogoria’s coach Tomasz REDZIMSKI before Friday`s Men`s European Champions League classic in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.

This kind of matches always electrify table tennis fans in Grodzisk Mazowiecki and Poland. On Friday polish national champion Dartom Bogoria Grodzisk Mazowiecki will face one of the best teams in the world Borussia Duesseldorf (18h30).

It will be eight encounter between these two teams in the history of European Champions League. The record is better for Borussia – 5-2. In 2011/2012 season Bogoria beat German rivals twice 3:1. The game between OH Sang Eun and Timo BOLL was unforgettable – Korean was down 1:2 and 6:10 but eventually he won 3:2. This season in September in Duesseldorf the hosts gave Bogoria severe lesson winning 3:0.

“We have to play at our highest level to win against Borussia. My players already have victories against their opponents but the important thing is to play their best on right time on Friday. Big question is how to beat Timo BOLL but also GIONIS and ACHANTA play really well. All my players will be fully motivated concentrated and ready to fight until the end of the match”  explained Tomasz REDZIMSKI.

Both teams will start the game with calm situation in national leagues. Dartom Bogoria in Polish Superleague is first after nine matches (22 points). OH Sang Eun is unbeatable Daniel GORAK and Robert FLORAS both have over 75% of effectiveness Pawel FERTIKOWSKI won five of his eight games. In German Bundesleaugue Danny HEISTER’s team is also first with seven victories in a row (14 points).

“We want to win to improve our situation in the group. It will help us to cut down the pressure for matches against Wels and Hennebont. We have to play braver and use their weak sides. Match against German team is something exceptional” – admitted Daniel GORAK who narrowly lost to WANG Hao 3:4 in recently ended Swedish Open.

The clash of immemorial rivals will start on Fridays at 18h30 in Grodzisk Mazowiecki and will be broadcasted live on ETTU TV.
