Since WECL semis are going on stage without SVS STROCK and individual European champion LI Fen, it’s quite clear how the competition has been strong this year. The best four teams are continuing their path in best ever WECL season, expecting first semi-final leg:
– Fenerbahce (January 17
th, 18h30 CET, live on LAOLA1.tv), Berlin Eastside – Linz AG Froschberg (January 17th, 19h15 CET)

The big repeat of last ETTU Cup final will be held this Friday at Zamek, where Polish champion will meet the best Turkish club. Fenerbahce was better in the ending of 2012/13 ETTU Cup, and everybody agrees that it is the main candidate for WECL crown, but Zamek promises big fight.

“We are very satisfied with semi-final, but we’ll try to take a revenge for last season’s ETTU Cup final –  says Zamek`s coach Zbigniew NĘCEK.  – Our opponent Fenerbahce is better team with more equal players. We know our rival very well, especially Viki PAVLOVICH who regulary wins against players from KTS. After last season Turkish club said that they are going to focus now on Champions League and win the trophy. And we will try to disturb them a little bit. All our fans are very happy to see and host so great team as Fenerbahce”.

Fenerbahce played under expectations in group stage, but reached semis, thanks first of all to CHING I-Cheng (6-2 individual score). Two times individual European champion Viktoria PAVLOVICH suffered three losses (4-3), while, on the other side triple medalist from 2013 ECH HAN Ying is unique unbeaten player in 2013/14 WECL, having all 9 wins.

Last two WECL champions will meet at Berlin this Friday: Berlin (2012 champion) against Linz (2009, 2013). As Berlin’s coach Irina PALINA stressed earlier for ETTU website, her club attacks all three possible titles in this season (one already has, German Cup). That club is unbeaten in Bundesliga, while Linz AG Froscheberg is undefeated in last one and half year. It promises big fight and fully delight for the fans.

The 2013/14 WECL semi-final (leg1):
Zamek Tarnobrzeg – Fenerbahce (January 17th, 18h30 CET, live on LAOLA1.tv)
Berlin Eastside – Linz AG Froschberg (January 17th, 19h15 CET)
