Tonight Werder Bremen has become German team champion. In the Fraport Arena in Frankfurt, Werder Bremen beat TTF LIEBHERR Ochsenhausen by surprisingly 3:0. However, two of the three matches went the full distance.

In front of 2,500 spectators the newly crowned double world champion from Paris, CHUANG Chih-Yuan, beat Kirill SKACHKOV. Adrian CRISAN succeeded against Ryu Seung Min, the 2004 Olympic Champion in the decisive fifth set. The finale was between second Romanian in the jersey of SV Werder, Constantin CIOTI, against Tiago APOLONIA. CIOTI was in the lead 2:0 and already had 3:0 on the racket, but could not convert his match points in the third set into voctory. However, the 29-year-old held his nerve and took his chances in the fifth set.

Bremen had finished the title dreams for Borussia Dusseldorf in the semifinals.
