Team of UMMC secured great advantage in he first Men’s ETTU Cup final before the home duel at Verkhnaya Pyshma. Polish Dartom Bogoria Grodzisk lost opening leg encounter at the final by narrow margin, but it is enough to give extra confidence to their adversaries from Russia.

It started good for Dartom Bogoria Grodzisk – Daniel GORAK beat Grigory VLASOV in straight games. However the UMMC’s response was immediate. HOU Yiagchao overcame Robert FLORAS by same margin. Then the drama begun. Pawel FERTIKOWSKI beat TAN Rui Wu in full distance match, for 2:1 for hosts. Asked, was she afraid at that point manager Alexandra YASINOVSKAYA said: “We were not afraid but, yes, at that point there were chances we might lose.”

But HOU Yiagchao was on the top of the game. He beat Daniel GÓRAK to level the score once again. “Our coach manage to make Hou play with tact and heart,” said Alexandra YASINOVSKAYA.

At the decisive match Grigory VLASOV showed class and overcame Robert FLORAS in four games. “We are very happy for him. He played in good shape.”

Now most of the pressure is on Polish club, but still there is a long way for both teams.“We are at half way point. This match will not be easy for anyone,” said Alexandra YASINOVSKAYA.
