Sareza opens its doors for young stars

We can already talk about tradition, when we speak about the European Youth Championships in Czech Republic. In 2009 and 2005, Prague hosted the event, whilst 1999 and in 1996 Freydek Mistek was the host, so if anyone knows how to take care of such big competition, that are Czech Table Tennis officials.

From 12th of July until 21st, competitors from 44 countries will participate at the 56th European Youth Championships in Ostrava. In Sareza venue, competition starts with the team’s event, whilst the start of singles are scheduled for 17th of July.

In Junior Boys Teams Event 36 teams will participate, in Junior Girls 36, Cadet Boys 41 and Cadet Girls 40. Title holders in Junior Boys and Cadets Team is France, in Junior Girls Romania and in Cadet Girls Germany.

In Schwechat last year Tristan FLORE clinched the title in singles. This month he is still no. one at the rankings, but he is not eligible to play in Ostrava. No. two at the rankings Enzo ANGLES of France will be on duty to take over the burden of favorite on his shoulders. Jakub SEIBERT of Czech Republic will have hard task to meet the expectation of host nation crowd.

Princess from Austria, crowned champion in Junior Girls Singles Event, Bernadette SZOCS is ready to shine in her ultimate year among youth categories. Lea RAKOVEC of Croatia and Nina MITTELHAM of Germany will be there to make it hard for her.

Alexandre CASSIN of France, leading player at the European youth rankings will be there to defend his title in Cadet Boys Singles. Anders LIND of Denmark and Maxim CHAPLYGIN of Russia will also look for their chance.

Alena LEMMER of Germany won the title last year, she will not be in OStrava, so the throne is ready for new princess in Cadet Girls Singles Event. Leading trio from European rankings, Marie MIGOT of France, Adina DIACONU of Romania and Maria MALANINA of Russia seek for their place at the medal rostrum.

ETTU TV powered by LAOLA1.tv will be broadcasting the best of the action from table one via daily LIVE-Streams as well as all matches from table one and table two on-demand after they have been played.
