Top seed MA Long of China halted Alexey LIVENTSOV superb run at the ITTF World Tour Korean Air Korean Open in Incheon. Russia’s player reached Round of 16, but it was MA who progressed to the quarters after straight games duel.

Adrien MATTENET of France suffered from the same faith. WANG Hao of China needed five games to overcame Adrien. In the quarter final MA Long will meet RYU Seungmin of Korea. WANG will play against MA Lin of China. Another Chinese representative YAN An will meet Taku TAKAKIWA of Japan, and seeded no. two XU Xin will play against Japan’s Jun MIZUTANI.

In the Round of 16 of the Women’s Singles Event Asoan adversaries also proved too strong for Europeans. Chinese French combination of XU Xin and Adrien MATTENET lost their semi final duel against Korean SEO Hyundeok and Chinese ZHANG Jike after five games.
