The matches of the first round in Groups Stages of the ETTU Women’s Cup are scheduled for this weekend. In four groups 14 clubs will fight for their place in Round two. The teams finishing in position 1and 2 in their respective groups will be qualified for the 2nd round (19 -20 October).

The top seeds are: Russia’s Evromost – Kuban, French Alcl Tennis De Table Grand-Quevilly, Club Pongiste Lyssois Lille Metropole, Croatia’s STK Dr. CASL, Austria’s TTC Carinthiawinds-Villacher, Leistungszentrum Linz Froschberg, Czech’s SKST Mart Hodonin and Russia’d Table Tennis Club “Kazan”.

At the top of the Group 1 is DT Diddeleng of Luxembourg. They will host Greek YMCA Thessaloniki and Spanish Irun Leka Enea. For Diddeleng will play Bianca BAUER, Jennifer BOES, Jil BRIMAIRE, Elfie SCHMIT, Jennifer CARIXAS and Noemie STEFFEN. Club played last year in ETTU Cup and finished at position no. three in their group.

In Group 2 Belgium’s KTTC AFP Antwerpen will welcome Swiss TTC Neuhausen and Portugal’s Gr. Desp. Casa Do Poro da Madamena. For Antwerpen will play Elena CHMIGUELSKAIA, Angelique GERTENBACH, Patricia MAASLAND, Birgit LOOS, Ellen De SCHUTTER and Indya GEBOES.

In Group 3 Buducnost Podgorica in Montenegro will host Draycott & Long Eaton from England, Italian ASD Quattro Mori Cagliari and Sporten Club Saedinenie of Bulgaria. For Podgorica are listed: Neda MILACIC BOGDANOVIC, Ivana DJALOVIC, Majda PROLE, Nikolina SEKULOVIC, Anja PEJOVIC and Nadja SEKULOVIC.

In Group 4 host is Dutch Dozy Den Helder / Noordkop and the guests are Italian ASD Tennis Tavolo Norbello, Bulgaria’s SKTM Komfort – Varna, Portugal’s Grupo Desportivo dos Toledos. For Dutch team will play Ana GOGORITA, ZHANG Yun, Rianne Van DUIN, Melanie BIERDRAGER, Mariska De BOER and Joke Van De RUIT.

The winner of last season’s competition was Turkish Fenerbahce. They beat Tarnobrzeg to clinch the second title in the row.
