The host nation’s Jakub DYJAS triumphed in the Junior Boys’ Singles event at the Polish Junior and Cadet Open in Wladyslawowo. Occupying the no.5 seeded position in the draw, he accounted for Hugo CALDERANO of Brazil seeded no. three in the final 4:1 (11:7, 15:17, 11:8, 11:2, 11:4). 

In semis, DYJAS beat another player from Brazil Vitor ISHIY in straight games (11:6, 11:5, 11:7, 11:6), whilst CALDERANO overcame Japan’s Yuto HIGASHI 4:1 (11:6, 7:11, 11:7, 11:8, 11:6).

Miyu KATO of Japan clinched the top prize in Junior Girls Singles Event by beating India’s Manika BATRA in final after seven gruelling games (10:12, 11:8, 10:12, 11:6, 5:11, 11:8, 11:8). In penultimate stage KATO overcame compatriot Miu HIRANO 4:0 (11:7, 11:9, 11:9, 11:5), whilst BATRA succeeded against Ayane MORITA also from Japan in another full distance duel (11:9, 7:11, 7:11, 11:7, 11:6, 7:11, 11:8).
