French girls proceeded in impressive way

Romanian stars booked top position in Group A in the Cadet Girls Teams Event at the European Youth Championships in Ostrava. Adina DIACONU, Andreea CLAPA and Andreea DRAGOMAN succeeded against Belarus, Slovenia and Greece. There were no surprises in that,

Audrey ZARIF, Marie MIGOT and Camille CAMPION followed the same path in even more impressive way. In the matches against Croatia, Sweden and Latvia they adversaries failed to post singles individual victory. As a meter of fact, all matches concluded in 3:0 margin. Croatia is second, Sweden third and Latvia fourth.

Germany’s Julia KAIM, Lilli EISE and Luisa SAGER dominated in Group C. They also concluded their encounters in straight matches. Poland is second, whilst Ukraine secured third position by beating Hungary in full distance match. Russia’s Maria MALANINA, Daria CHERNORAY and Anastasia KOLISH paved their way to Round 16 with three victories. Serbia, Portugal and Israel could not stop them on their way. Portugal, however, prevented Serbia of making it to the position no. two. They lost only one match against Russia.

In lower division, in Group E Belgium’s LOYEN, LUNG and DEGRAEF booked top position. Only Spain made them play all five matches. Luxembourg and Wales lost in straight matches. Austria’s MISCHEK and FUCHS beat Norway and Lithuania to secure play off match for place among best 16.

Turkey’s OZKAYA, KULAKCEKEN and ARSLAN exceeded the rankings and beat Slovakia to secure top position in their Group. They also prevailed against Armenia and Ireland. In Group I Czech Republic took advantage of paying at home soil. PYSKATA, SLEZAKOVA and TUSLOVA overcame top seeds Finland, as well as Azerbaijan.
