Tonight was good night for French clubs in ETTU Cup. Three out of three recorded victories in Third Round of the Men’s and Women’s ETTU Cup. 

Stella Sport La Romagne beat UTTF Raiffeisen Ligist at home soil. CHEN Tianyuan recorded opening match victory in straight games against ZHANG Jie. Abdel Kader SALIFOU needed four to overcame Christoph SIMONER whilst Brice OLLIVIER succeeded against Gabor GEROLD in effective way.

For Istres Tennis de Table it was not that easy. They were stretched to full distance against Grupo Desportivo dos Toledos. French side was forced to recover from 0:2 in reverse before they clinched victory.

CHEN Jian lost against Aruna QUADRI and Andre SILVA was better than Christophe LEGOUT. It was Antoine HACHARD who brought back host in game with victory over Diogo SILVA. CHEN and LEGOUT stayed at the same course.

In Grenzau Olimpia Unia Grudziadz lost in straight matches. Masaki YOSHIDA beat WANG Sheng Sheng Andrej GACINA overcame Patrik CHOJNOWSKI and Lubomir JANCARIK succeeded against Tomislav KOLAREK.

Club that currently occupies second position in French Pro A league Club Pongiste Lyssois Lille Metropole reached fourth round of the Women’s ETTU Cup. In Lys-Lez-Lannoy USD Tennistavolo Zeus suffered straight matches defeat.

YANG Xiao Xin was only player who had to go through agonizing fifth game but eventually she beat TIAN Jing. Bernadette SZOCS overcame Laura NEGRISOLI in straight games as well as Agnès LE LANNIC succeeded against. WEI Jian
