CEKIC and DE NUTTE won the title in Luxembourg

Sarah DE NUTTE clinched the title in the Women’s Singles Event at the 15th Games of the Small States of Europe in front of her home crowd in Luxembourg. Irfan CEKIC of Montenegro also reached the top step at the medal rostrum in the Men’s Singles Event. T,

Sarah DE NUTTE clinched the title in the Women’s Singles Event at the 15th Games of the Small States of Europe in front of her home crowd in Luxembourg. Irfan CEKIC of Montenegro also reached the top step at the medal rostrum in the Men’s Singles Event.

The Family from the Grand Duke, Henri of Luxembourg, was in the Hall to attend these matches. 

Sarah DE NUTTE beat San Marino’s Letizia GIARDI in the final of the event 3:1 (11:8, 6:11, 11:4, 13:11). In semi final DE NUTTE beat Louiza KOUREA of Cyprus, whilst GIARDI succeeded against Tessy GONDERINGER of Luxembourg.

CEKIC beat host nation representative Traian CIOCIU 3:2 (6:11, 11:3, 11:6, 7:11, 11:9). In semi final CIOCIU overcame Cyprus’ Marios YIANGOU and CEKIC beat Anthony PERETTI of Monaco.
