Bronze medallists maintained their form in Rabat

Bronze medals winners in Junior Boy’s Team’s Event Poland and France as well as Romania in Junior Girls category successfully continued their journey at the 2013 ITTF World Junior Table Tennis Championships in Rabat.

In Singles Event Frenchman Enzo ANGLES the no.8 seed ended the hopes of Poland’s Adrian WIECEK in straight games. Tristan FLORE scored against Alessandro BACIOCCHI of Italy Alexandre ROBINOT overcame JHA KANAK of USA.

Jakub DYJAS was the major reason for the bronze medal gained by Poland in the Boys’ Team event with two wins against Korea beating both KANG Minho and JANG Woojin. He maintained his form in the Singles Event. The no.11 seed he beat Belgium’s Martin ALLEGRO in four straight games to book his place in the second round.

In the second round will also play QIU Dang QIU Liang and Kilian ORT of Germany Rajko GOMMERS of Netherlands Filip ZELJKO of Croatia Adam SZUDI and Tamas LAKATOS of Hungary Diogo CHEN of Portugal Leonardo MUTTI of Italy Carl AHLANDER of Sweden and Samuel WALKER of England.

Romania’s Bernadette SZOCS had to recover from a two games to nil deficit to beat Laura PFEFER of France but she made it to the second round. Occupying the no.8 seeded position in the draw Bernadette SZOCS eventually prevailed in six games. SZOCS in both Bahrain in 2011 and Hyderabad one year ago won bronze in the Girls’ Doubles event with Irina CIOBANU. CIOBANU also joined her after victory against LEE Zion of USA today. Young Adian DIACONU also clinched the victory. She overcame Sutirtha MUKHERJEE of India.

Chantal MANZ Theresa KRAFT and  WAN Yuan of Germany succeeded. France will count on Marie MIGOT and Marina BERHO whilst Belarus has Katsiaryna BARAVOK and Alina ARLOUSKAYA and Croatia has Lea RAKOVAC.
