The draw for the forthcoming LIEBHERR 2013 European Championships (4th – 13th October) at the Multiversum Schwechat/Werner Schlager Academy was held today in Vienna International Airport.

In men’s Team’s Event directly to the quarterfinal, after two years of JOOLA Qualifications matches, progressed last Championship’s semi finalists Portugal, Croatia the team finished at position no. seven in Gdansk and Sopot, France and Russia fifth from 2011. Portugal will await the winner of the Round one duel between Greece and Czech Republic, whilst Croatia will play against the winner of match Spain vs. Belarus. France will meet the winner of the duel between reigning champions Germany and Austria. Russia will play against the better from the duel between Sweden and Poland.

Directly to the quarterfinal of the Women’s Team’s Event progressed Hungary. They will play against Romania or Ukraine. Russia will wait for the winner of the match France vs. Poland. Belarus will play against the winner of the match Spain vs. Czech Republic. Germany is directly in quarters, but in their part of the draw we will have special situation. Turkey and Austria will play play – off match for entering the first round. The winner of that match will then play against the European champions Netherlands for the place in the quarterfinal. The winner will play against Germany.

In Men Teams Event Challenge Division Serbia, Slovenia, Romania and Hungary are in quarters. In the previous round we will see the matches: Belgium vs. Italy, Slovakia vs. Denmark, England vs. Turkey and Ukraine vs. Bulgaria.

In Women’s Teams Event Croatia, Luxembourg, Sweden and England are in quarters. Slovenia vs. Bulgaria, Slovakia vs. Portugal, Lithuania vs. Serbia and Italy vs. Greece will play for their place in quarters.

In Men’s Standard Division in Group A are: Latvia, Luxembourg, Finland, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Ic eland. In Group B are: Lithuania, Estonia, Norway, Ireland, Cyprus, Kosovo.

In Women’s Standard division in Group A are: Wales, Denmark, Norway.
