04/03/2012 – Only 20 year-old Diogo SILVA clinched the title in Men’s Singles Event in Portugal. Ana Cristina NEVES succeeded to the title in Women’s Singles Event. SILVA overcame experienced Ricardo OLIVIREA by narrow margin in the final of men’s event 4:3 (5 -3 9 -4 9 -3 9). In the semi final SILVA overcame Diogo CARVALHO 4:2 (7 9 -11 -8 8 8). In other semis OLIVIREA overcame Jose MONTEIRO by same margin (7 10 -9 6 -7 8).
NEVES beat Olga CHRAMKO in the ultimate stage of the event 4:3 (9 -11 9 -11 8 -8 9). In semis NEVES beat Leila OLIVIERA 4:1 (-10 5 4 7 5) and CHRAMKO beat Ana TORRES 4:0 (6 6 10 7).
