24/01/2012 – The 3rd round games of men’s and women’s Premier league of Russian Team Championship in 2011-2012 season in Nizhny Novgorod and Vladimir are finished. Having won the tight match with the score 4:3 over the main rival “Fakel Gazproma” (Orenburg) “UMMC” from Verhnaya Pyshma retained the chances to win the championships. Alexander SHIBAEV in his duel against Dimitrij OVTCHAROV could bring the victory to UMMC with the score 4:1 but did not manage to win after leading 9:5 in decisive game. The winner of a latest European SuperCup – a Dane Michael MAZE – had lost his both duels to Alexey SMIRNOV (0:3) and Vladimir SAMSONOV (1:3). In the crucial game HOU Ingchao has beaten Alexey SMIRNOV masterfully (3:0).
Before the last tour which will be held on 25-29 of April in Baltym (Ekaterinburg region) UMMC’s goal is very hard to reach to even considering the fact that their team consist of a strong players. To become the champion without counting sets UMMC has to win with the score 4:0. That is going to be a really hard game!
The Kazan club “Kamdor” keeping a reserve with 5 points is hardly going to give their bronze medals to “SDYUSHOR-13″ from Nizhny Novgorod. Valery SHEVCHENKO’S team having a goal of getting into triple winners have all the chances to succeed.
“DalEnergoSetProject” (Vladivostok) is an absolute leader in women’s Premier league. They have win only one match in the last 4th round to become champions. Some intrigue remains in the fight for silver. “Euromost-Kuban’” (Krasnodar) is on the 2nd place and has 2 points advantage over “SDYUSHOR-13″ (Nizhny Novgorod). But it is still hard to say ahead of the time that they are absolute vice champions.

In Men-European Superleague Champions play-off SF SKK El Nino Praha overcame CVSE Swietelsky Wewalka Celldomolk 6:1. STAVO-IMPEX Holic beat Lokomotiva Vrsovice Aquecon Praha in the opening leg 6:4. The second leg is scheduled for the end of the month. SVS Niederosterreich and STK Dr. CASL already booked their place in the semi finals.
