National Championships: JAKAB won fourth LOVAS third in Hungary

06/03/2011 – Men’s and Women’s Singles Events finished victoriously for top seeded players at the 94th Hungarian National Championships. Janos JAKAB won fourth Men’s Singles title after 2007 2008 and 2009. Borussia D??ldorf’s player showed fine form he lost only one set in the Main Draw. JAKAB overcame Peter FAZEKAS in Semi Final 4:0 and beat Daniel KOSIBA in the Final 4:0 (10 7 7 5). Viktor VAJDA caused major upset of the Hungarian National Championships he reached third place at the podium in Men’s Singles after suffered defeat KOSIBA 1:4 in Semi Final.

Petra LOVAS won the title of Women’s Singles Event again after 2010. She won third Women’s Singles crown of her carrier. She succeeded her doublemate Szandra PERGEL again in the Final 4:0 (6 9 2 4). Previously LOVAS beat Eva BRAUN 4:1 whilst PERGEL overcame LI Bin 4:0.

Peter FAZEKAS and Daniel KRISTON are the new Men’s Doubles champions. They beat Sandor VARGA and Adam PATTANTYUS for the gold medal 3:1 (-8 7 6 7). In the Semi Final FAZEKAS and KRISTON defeated Janos JAKAB and Daniel KOSIBA 3:1 VARGA and PATTANTY? overcame Kriszti?NAGY and David ZOMBORI 3:2

In Women’s Doubles Event last year bronze medalist duo Petra LOVAS and Szandra PERGEL clinched the title. They won against Eva BRAUN and Rita KERTAI in the final 3:0 (6 13 8). In the Semi Final the winners beat Zita MOLNAR and Dora MADARASZ 3:0 whilst silver medalist double overcame Timea VARGA and Mercedesz NAGYVARADI 3:0

Daniel KOSIBA (Duisburg); 3. Peter FAZEKAS (Celldomolki VSE-Swietelsky Wewalka) and Viktor VAJDA (Felegyhazi ASI).
