National Championships: CIOCIU & SADIKOVIC emerged in Luxembourg

06/03/2011 – At the National Championships in Luxembourg Traian CIOCIU has defended his title in men’s Singles Event from last year. With a 4-2 victory over young Laurent KINTZELE. Traian CIOCIU won his 6th singles title at National Championships. Bronze medal went to Christian KILL and Jerome RAISON.

Egle SADIKOVIC is the new titleholder in women’s singles. She won 4-1 against Tessy GONDERINGER in the final for her first ever national championships title. Sarah de NUTTE and Simone HAAN won bronze.

Traian CIOCIU and Mike BAST won the Men’s Doubles title. They overcame Jerome RAISON and Fabien SIMON in the final. Sven HANSEN and Laurent KINTZELE as well as Arlindo DE SOUSA and Fabio SANTOMAURO clinched bronze.

Sarah de NUTTE and Tessy GONDERINGER were the best in Women’s Doubles. In the final they succeeded against Vinita SCHLINK and Annick STAMMET. Jill BERNS and Danielle KONSBRUCK and Simone HAAN and Carole HARTMANN were stopped at the penultimate hurdle.

The winners of the mixed doubles are Fabien SIMON and Sarah de NUTTE. They overcame Mike BAST and Simone HAAN in the final. Previously finalist beat Fabio SANTOMAURO and Carole HARTMANN as well as Eric GONDERINGER and Tessy GONDERINGER.
