21/07/2011 – Three time Olympic champion in the category of up to 130 kg Alexander KARELIN visited the European Youth Table Tennis Championship 2011 during his working visit to the capital of Tatarstan. State Duma deputy member of the Supreme Council of the party “United Russia” Alexander KARELIN visited Boxing and Table Tennis Center where the best tennis players in Europe are fighting for the champion titles these days.

The guest of honor accompanied by Deputy Minister of Youth Sport and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Khalil SHAIKHUTDINOV general secretary of Russian Table Tennis Federation vice-president of the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) Roman MARKOV and vice-president of Table Tennis Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan Gennady ARGAKOV highly estimated equipment and facilities of the gyms in the Center.

The Boxing and Table Tennis Center was taken opened in December 2010. The building a total area of 15 175 square meters accommodates 2000 spectators.. The Center includes five training and two squared rings for boxing 17 tennis tables and a multipurpose hall and the training arenas. Boxing competitions will be held here During the Universiade 2013.
