02/11/2011 – This is the dream season for Slovenia’s Bojan TOKIC. With the ticket for London 2012 in his pocket he enjoys the success throughout whole season. At the INTERSPORT European Championships in Gdansk Sopot he gained first ever medal in singles for his country and he also won another bronze with Aleksandar KARAKASEVIC in Men’s Doubles Event. The success launches him from position number 45 at the world rankings to the career highest rankings – 25.

“Someone mature earlier and someone gain their five minutes of glory latter. It seams I am the one who waited long for the success but I am enjoying it very much now ” said 30 years old TOKIC..Nothing succeeds like success. The current position opened few more doors for TOKIC. Slovenian player is at the list of reserves for the prestigious INTERSPORT European Super Cup in Ekaterinburg on 6th and 7th December 2011 and he entered the circle of players who gravities toward European Top-12 next year.

“That is really something. It will be too much to hope that two players will withdraw from Super Cup but I am happy with the possibility to be there. Speaking about Top-12 it will be my first one and I am very pleased with that ” explained TOKIC. However TOKIC is not very happy. “Now the day after the World rankings are released I feel much better but yesterday I was angry. I gained only 47 points for 11 victories and place in the semi final at the INTERSPORT European Championships. I beat APOLONIA MONTEIRO PISTEJ DRINKHALL PITCHFORD KEINATH in Team’s Event and KUCHUK ELOI PROKOPCOV HE ZHI Wen and OVTCHAROV in singles. The coefficient for pro tour is 1.5 and for European is 1.0 for win and 2.0 for defeat like at the Olympics. It is unfair ” said TOKIC.
