06/03/2010 – In Denmark we will see the re-run of the last year’s semi final in Men’s Singles Event. In Ringe pa Fyn same four players reached the penultimate stage. Finn TUGWELL beat Kasper SJELLE 4:3 (4 7 7 -9 -7 -8 9) and he will meet Martin MONRAD. Martin overcame Morten KNUDSEN 4:0 (9 11 5 11). In other semi final Christian KONGSGAARD will play against Allan BENTSEN. KONGSGAARD overcame Morten RASMUSSEN 4:2 (8 -5 4 -8 10 10) whilst BENTSEN beat Mikkel HINDERSSON 4:0 (3 1 4 5).

Quarterfinals were not without drama. Finn TUGWELL-reigning champion led 3-0 and 8-5 in the fourth set against Kasper STERNBERG but Sternberg leveled to 3-3. In the decisive seventh game TUGWELL led 5-0 but Sternberg recovered and leveled to 6-6. TUGWELL were deprived of points because he was not satisfied with the judges. At 9-9 STERNBERG missed two serves and TUGWELL in final once again.

Christian KONGSGAARD won a very close match against Morten RASMUSSEN 4-2.

In quarterfinal of The Women’s’ Singles Event Mie SKOV overcame Stefanie CHRISTENSEN 4:0 (2 8 7 7) Sabine LARSEN succeeded against Mie JACOBSEN 4:1 (8 10 -8 6 8) Izabell N??M beat Pernille SONDERGAARD 4:3 (7 8 -7 7 -10 -9 5) Pernille AGERHOLM overcame Susanne PEDERSEN 4:1 (7 -14 6 9 6)

In men’s doubles we saw a minor surprise when Kim HOGSBERG and Morten KNUDSEN suffered defeat by the hands of young Tobias LAU and Morten RASMUSSEN.
