15/05/2010 – The Danish team plays with two reigning European champions. Michael MAZE won the title in Singles in Stuttgart and Allan BENTSEN is champion in veteran’s 40 years men’s category from Porec. For LIEBHERR 2010 World Team Table Tennis Championships Allan BENTSEN returned in team. In the Danish team are also: Finn TUGWELL Christian KONGSGAARD and Morten Hyrup RASMUSSEN. Denmark is in group with Germany Japan Croatia Spain and Hungary

“Our goal is to reach to the quarterfinals and play for medals – Danish sports director Peter SARTZ says. – Although Allan Bentsen suffered a minor injury of his leg this week all the players are in good shape and we hope they will perform the best they can. If all are fit we have a chance to play for medals “.

The Danish women play in second division. In the team will play Mie SKOV Sabine Borre LARSEN and Pernille AGERHOLM. They are in the group with Turkey Malaysia India Israel and Portugal.
