05/03/12010 – Azerbaijan National championship was held In February in sport complex of Azerbaijan Medical University in Baku. More then 20 teams of cities and regions of Republic Azerbaijan took part in this championship. “The competition showed the growing mastery of young tennis players that gladden us much ” said general secretary of the Azerbaijan TTA Ibrahim EFENDIYEV.

New championship of the Republic is young player Rustam ALIYEV (1995) whilst Sabina AKHMADOVA (1994) won the title in Woemn’s Event. Both succeeded after fierce duels against more eminent and experienced champions of last year.
