Belgium and Türkiye Clinch Gold at Mixed Teams Events in Nevşehir Cappadocia

The Mixed Team event at the second Europe Youth Series tournament in 2024 the Türkiye Open concluded with triumphs for Belgium and Türkiye in their respective Under 15 and Under 13 Events.

In the Under 13 event Türkiye-2 with Ayten Ceren KAHRAMAN Buse KOÇAK Kuzey GÜNDOĞDU and Salih YILDIRIM beat Azerbaijan with Banu BAYTALLI Yaghmur MAMMADLI Shakir GADIROV and Onur GULUZADE 5-3 to reach the top position at the medal rostrum.

In the match for third position Türkiye with Armin AYDIN Ela Su YÖNTER Aras AYDIN and Ahmet TÜKENMEZ beat Belgium with Temperance TANG Ella VERMANDEL Joppe MOORKENS and Bryan ZHANG.

In the Under 15 Mixed Teams event Belgium composed of Matt CLOSSET Jamie EILING Lessia LEWYCKYJ and Lotte NUYTTENS clinched gold overcoming Türkiye-1 in the final with a score of 5-3. The Turkish team included Nil BASARAN Duru KIRBAÇ Kenan Eren KAHRAMAN Gorkem OCAL Berk ÖZTOPRAK and Elif AKYUREK.

In the match for third position Türkiye-2 with Nehir ÇINAR Hatice Elif GÜVELI Selim AZAZI and Doruk ŞENDOĞAN prevailed against Azerbaijan with Khadija EYLAZOVA Shabnam MANSUROVA Tunar BAGHIROV and Ughur NAZARLI.
