Paris 2024: China Takes Mixed Doubles Gold Korea Republic Bags Bronze

WANG Chuqin and SUN Yingsha are the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Mixed Doubles Gold Medal Winners.

The top seeds from China are the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Mixed Doubles gold medalists as WANG and SUN come out on top 4-2 (11-6 7-11 11-8 11-5 7-11 11-8) in an epic battle with RI Jong Sik and KIM Kum Yong.

Korea Republic’s LIM Jonghoon and SHIN Yubin have secured the bronze medal after a dominant 4-0 victory over WONG Chun Ting and DOO Hoi Kem (HKG). The Korea Republic pair displayed exceptional form throughout the match winning 11-5 11-7 11-7 and 14-12 to claim the final podium spot.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas BACH was among the distinguished guests in attendance for the Mixed Doubles gold medal match happening in South Paris Arena. Joined by ITTF President Petra SÖRLING and IOC Member RYU Seungmin President BACH witnessed the first gold medal awarded in table tennis at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
