ETTU URC Development Activity: Level 2 National Umpires Training for International

The European Table Tennis Union’s Umpires and Referee Committee (ETTU URC) is set to host a pivotal development activity aimed at match officials aspiring to elevate their careers to the international level. This intensive two-day training session titled “Level 2 National Umpires with a focus on International Umpire career ” will be held on October 22-23 2024 at the Sports Hall of O.Kalpaks Riga Folk-Art Primary School located at Skrindu Street 1 Riga LV-1003.

Participant Requirements:

Candidates must be National Umpires with a strong interest in officiating at future international events.

Trainer: To be nominated ETTU URC

Course Overview:

“The ETTU Umpires and Referee Committee is dedicated to supporting match officials on their journey to becoming International Umpires. In conjunction with the 2024 Riga City Council’s Youth Cup in Table Tennis the ETTU URC is offering this on-site training course to thoroughly discuss relevant regulations procedures and essential information for international events.

This training will provide a comprehensive platform to address any additional questions and prepare candidates for officiating at the international level. Participants will not only gain valuable insights but also have the unique opportunity to serve as umpires during the 2024 Riga City Council’s Youth Cup in Table Tennis. This hands-on experience will allow them to apply their knowledge in real-time officiating young European players and engaging in in-depth analysis of international event procedures.”
