Sweden’s city of Kosta will host 2025 Europen Under 13 Championships

The ETTU Executive Board has awarded the 2025 European Under 13 Championships to the city of Kosta in Sweden.

“After successfully hosting the 2023 STUPA European Team Championships and while preparing the organization of the 2024 European Youth Championships the Swedish Table Tennis Association is continuing its quest to host all major ETTU competitions. ETTU is happy to be back in Sweden for the first time in the beatifull city Kosta and it s newest CRAFT Arena for the most recently created ETTU event the Under 13 European Championships. With this decision the ETTU Executive Board has guaranteed a superior organizer to such an important competition for the development of our European youngsters ” said ETTU Acting President Pedro MOURA.

It will be third edition of the Championships which will be played in Bucharest this year from 22nd to 26th May.

“We are extremely proud that the European Table Tennis Union has awarded the U13 European Championships to Kosta and the brand-new CRAFT Arena. We firmly believe that this will strengthen the overall interest for table tennis in the region and really serve as an added value to the vast table tennis investment that is currently being done in Kosta says Torsten JANSSON Managing Director and CEO of the Swedish growth company New Wave Group that CRAFT of Scandinavia is a subsidiary of.

Sweden’s Table Tennis Association has proven itself as a successful organizer of top table tennis events.

 “Part of our long-term strategy in the Swedish Table Tennis Association (STTA) is to grow our sport. One of the bricks to reach that goal is by organizing international events of different levels and categories. In 2023 we had the pleasure of hosting the European Championships which was a milestone in many ways. Now we are very happy to be awarded the possibility to host the U13 European Championships since it’s important for us to show that the youth is our future. We are also very excited to work together with the city of Kosta and the brand-new CRAFT Arena for the first time. The investment in sports in general and table tennis in particular in Kosta is truly remarkable and we are certain that this is only the first in line of many amazing table tennis events to come says Dennis LINDAHL STTA President.”
