Champions League Final 4 Events 2025 and 2026 to Take Place in Saarbrücken

The crowd of 4 500 people experienced thrilling matches in April 2024 in Saarlandhalle Saarbrücken. The memory of Truls MÖREGARDH’S outstanding performance the surprising semifinalist from Austrian club SolexConsult TT Wiener Neustadt and the final between the top two European clubs 1. FC Saarbrücken TT e.V. and Borussia Düsseldorf will remain vivid for a long time. However it was the incredible atmosphere that made the event in Saarbrücken special for both spectators and players.

Fans will be delighted to know that the European Table Tennis Union (ETTU) has decided to confirm Saarbrücken as the host of the event for the next two years. In 2025 and 2026 the Champions League men’s title will once again be crowned in the Saarlandhalle. The date for the 2025 edition is already set: May 31 and June 1 2025.

“We are thrilled to be back in Saarbrücken for the Final 4  Champions League. Last year having such a short time for planning the event was a huge success. Now we very confident that we ll have one of the greatest table tennis weekends of the year in Europe ” said ETTU Acting President Pedro MOURA.

Nicolas BARROIS Head of Organization for the 2024 Final 4 event shared his excitement:

“The Final 4 2024 was very special for me because it was my first time working on such a major project. It was a lot of work but in the end it was worth it. The hall was packed and the teams had a great experience here. We’ll aim to improve the event even further over the next two editions. A huge thanks goes to the ETTU for their trust and to the regional sports ministry with Minister Reinhold JOST who supported us last year and will continue to support us in the coming years.”

Minister of Internal Affairs and Sports of Saarland Reinhold JOST also expressed his satisfaction with Saarbrücken’s opportunity to host the Final 4 again:

“I am very pleased that we can once again shine a spotlight on our region Saarland as a host for international sports events. Such events provide crucial inspiration for young talents. We will continue to do our best to support table tennis in the future.”

The 2023/24 season marked the first time the Men’s Champions League title was decided in a Final 4 event. The host and reigning champion Saarbrücken defeated German champion Düsseldorf 3:2. We look forward to seeing what special memories the upcoming events in 2025 and 2026 will bring!
