Two wins for French clubs

In the Second Stage of the Champions League Women in Group B UCAM Cartagena faced a tough challenge from the players of Saint Quentin TT in Spain. Meanwhile in Group D another French team METZ TT secured a victory over SH-ITB Budaörsi Sport Club from Hungary.

After two matches the Spanish team UCAM Cartagena suffered an even more challenging defeat than the one they experienced last week against the Czech team SKST Plus Hodonín losing 2-3. Tonight Daniela MONTEIRO DODEAN Linda BERGSTRÖM and Polina MIKHAILOVA showed no mercy. Maria XIAO pushed Daniela MONTEIRO DODEAN to a full five-game match but ultimately couldn’t secure the victory.

In France METZ needed four matches to overcome Hungary’s SH-ITB Budaörsi Sport Club. Adina Diaconu lost to Georgina POTA but emerged victorious against Dora MADARASZ. Mariia TAILAKOVA and Christina KALLBERG also contributed to METZ’s victory.
